Coronavirus (COVID-19) Re-Opening Protocols
May 1, 2020
Hi everyone! I hope this email finds all of you well & thriving amid the events taking place around us. As I stated in my previous COVID-19 message, your safety and well-being are my top priority! I will continue with many of the protocols that I was practicing prior to the Shelter In Place order and I will be adding steps to ensure that all who enter my practice are safe. I want you to be aware of the precautions I am taking so that you can make an informed decision should you choose to book a session.
As advised by the CDC and WHO strict cleaning procedures including frequent, thorough hand washing and sanitizing surfaces are necessary to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Please visit the CDCs website to review their Environmental Cleaning and Disinfection Recommendations in further detail.
I will be closely monitoring recommendations of the CDC, WHO, the Georgia Board of Massage Therapy and government agencies regarding COVID-19 and I will revise these protocols as needed.
I will be taking the following precautions to ensure your safety while in my treatment space:
-
Treatment Room Protocol: Massage and table equipment will be thoroughly sanitized between each client. This includes door handles inside and out; toilet handle; faucet, hot towel cabinet door, product containers, massage stool, light switches, cell phone / iPad / computers / card readers, pens, as well as all counters/flat surfaces in the treatment room. The room will also be sprayed with disinfecting aerosol spray.
-
Personal Protective Protocol: I encourage each of my clients to wash their hands before and after they enter the treatment room. Hand sanitizer will also be available and encouraged. I will wash my hands before and after each client and when coming in contact with possible contaminated items or surfaces (such as unwashed linens). I will be using hand sanitizer upon entering and exiting the room and before touching clients.
-
Massage Linen Protocol: As standard protocol, linens (sheets, blankets, face cradle covers, and towels) are changed after every client. Used linen is removed immediately, placed in a covered hamper in the office laundry area and sprayed with disinfecting spray. All linens are laundered in disinfecting laundry sanitizer and laundry detergent. After drying, linens are folded on a sanitized surface and placed in a closed cabinet.
-
Rescheduling or cancelling: If clients or therapist are, or come in contact with, anyone; not feeling well, running a fever, have a compromised immune system, or have flown overseas or been exposed to an area of high infection, sessions will be cancelled. Please contact me as soon as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel your session. I will notify clients as soon as possible in the event of a rescheduling, cancellation or shut down.
In addition to the above practices I will also be adhering to the following procedures:
-
As of April 30, 2020 per Governor Kemp's latest Executive Order, anyone who falls into the category of Section 3 (pages 4-5) of the Executive Order dated April 23, 2020 must continue to Shelter In Place until June, 12, 2020. If you fall into this category please understand that I will require that you reschedule until after the SIP is lifted.
-
Clients will need to remain in their vehicle until I retrieve them.
-
Pre-screening will be required for all clients, which will include a questionnaire and temperature check which will take place from the client's vehicle.
-
I am limiting the number of clients per day to three (3).
-
To ensure that the room is properly cleaned and sanitized, I am blocking 60-90 minutes between clients.
-
Please be prepared to pay with cash or check as per Governor Kemp's Executive order, electronic signature capture devices are discouraged. I do accept payment with Venmo, PayPal, CashApp and can invoice via Square. Moving forward, all credit, debit and electronic payments will incur a 3.5% usage fee.
If you have any questions or concerns or need to reschedule an appointment, please feel free to call me at 706-510-9788.
Thank you for being the best part of my massage practice! Be well, be joyous & continue to thrive!
Cherica
